Show some sweet appreciation and gratitude to the people that set the tone for students’ school day: bus drivers!
School Type: K – 12
Activity Goal: Bus driver appreciation
People Required: 2 – 3 Staffulty members and (optional) student leaders
Prep Time: 1 hour (30 minutes for purchasing drinks and 30 minutes to set up)
Timing: Before or after school
Materials: Beverages like coffee, tea, water or soda, cream and sugar packets, coffee cups with lids, and/or snacks like donuts or snack-sized bags of chips.
Cost: $10-$50, depending on amount of bus drivers

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CURBSIDE COFFEE FOR BUS DRIVERS:
- Pick a morning to arrive early and greet the buses at drop-off.
- Organize other Staffulty or student leaders to help pass treats to bus drivers.
- Purchase coffee and add-ins.
- Make it really special with donuts, muffins, or other morning snacks.
- Once all students are off the buses, deliver a beverage and/or a snack to each driver.
- Let them know they’re appreciated and valued with a “thank you” or hand written note!
ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:
- Really catch them by surprise the moment they drive near your school by creating posters that really shout our appreciation for bus drivers!
