Renaissance Champions lead their region with a philosophy fueled by passion, positivity, and the belief that culture and climate change everything. In addition to supporting their Renaissance Ambassadors and other educators in their region, they spark joy, recognize greatness, and create environments where teachers love their jobs and students thrive in school.

Meg Ward is a math teacher and Renaissance coordinator at Stratford High School in Goose Creek, South Carolina. She holds degrees from The Citadel and Winthrop University. Meg is a past recipient of the Jostens Renaissance Educator of the Year and Hall of Fame awards and helped her school be named a Jostens Renaissance Platinum School of Distinction in 2024.

Renaissance ambassadors build a vibrant network of educators who believe culture and climate support school success. As volunteers, Ambassadors form and maintain a sense community in their local area.

Bentli Lewis
Ladson, South Carolina
Bentli is a dynamic principal at Oakbrook Middle School in South Carolina. She is passionate about people, relationships, and building a school climate where everyone feels valued. Known for her love of queso and spontaneous dance moves, she brings joy and energy to every corner of campus. Her leadership blends high expectations with deep care, creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for students and staff alike. Bentli believes that strong relationships are the foundation of all success—and she works every day to make her school a place where magic truly happens.

Teal Miller
Summerville, South Carolina
Teal is an experienced educator from New Hampshire with a strong background in economics and leadership development. A graduate of Wheaton College in Massachusetts with a degree in Economics, Teal has dedicated more than two decades to teaching at Summerville High School.
Over the past 20 years, Teal has inspired students across a range of subjects, with the last 10 years focused on teaching Leadership. Known for creating engaging, empowering classroom environments, Teal is passionate about helping students discover their potential and motivating them to make a lasting, positive impact on their school and community.
Outside the classroom, Teal is the proud parent of three daughters and enjoys exploring the world through travel. Having visited numerous countries, Teal brings a global perspective that enriches both personal experiences and professional teaching.

Mike Huff
Wando, South Carolina
is originally from the small town of Indiana, PA, located about an hour east of Pittsburgh. He graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Earth/Space Science Education. Mr. Huff began his teaching career in 2014 as a 7th/8th grade mathematics teacher at Cainhoy Elementary and Middle School. In 2016, he transitioned to Philip Simmons Middle School, where he taught 8th grade science, Algebra I, and 6th grade science while he completed STEAM training with Clemson University. He also served as a Technology Coach. In 2018, Mr. Huff earned his Master’s Degree in Leadership and Supervision from The Citadel as part of the Berkeley County Lead V Cohort. He went on to serve as Assistant Principal at Philip Simmons Elementary School during the 2019–2020 school year before working as Berkeley County School District’s K–12 Science Coordinator from 2020–2021. In July 2021, he was named interim Principal of Philip Simmons Elementary, where he has since proudly continued to serve. During the 2023–2024 school year, Mr. Huff was selected to participate in the School Leadership Executive Institute (SLEI) through the state of South Carolina, a program that develops and supports highly effective school leaders across the state.

Beth Coleman
Gloucester, Virginia
Beth teaches Renaissance Leadership and Spanish at Gloucester High School in Virginia. She earned both a BA and MA in Leadership from Marshall University. She has taught at two Jostens Renaissance Platinum Schools of Distinction, and is currently working to help other schools establish Renaissance. She was a Teacher of the Year at Gloucester High School in 2025.

Joshua Coleman
Gloucester, Virginia
Josh is a School Counselor and Renaissance Coordinator at Gloucester High School in Virginia. He holds degrees from Marshall University, and is currently working with multiple schools within and beyond his school district to increase participation with Jostens Renaissance throughout Hampton Roads.
