As soon as the staff and editors have been chosen, have a meeting to decide on a mission statement for the school year. Use collaborative meeting strategies to make sure everyone’s suggestions are heard.

Have shirts made for all staffers.

Wear the shirts to school events or on specified days to build a team identity.
