NATIONAL RENAISSANCE STUDENT OF THE MONTH: OCTOBER – ABBY MOONEY

This month’s National Renaissance Student of the Month is Abby Mooney from Powell High School in Powell, TN. Nominator Julie Liford writes (lightly edited):

“Abby has been active in Renaissance all four years of her high school career. Her passion for improving the school’s climate and culture is what led her to choose Leadership as her graduation focus. To fulfill this requirement she has taken Powell’s Leadership class multiple years and is also a Peer Tutor. From planning fun games to play at an in-school pep rally, to arriving at school before dawn to prepare for a 5K, Abby is always willing to participate and help facilitate. She is quick to volunteer, goes above and beyond what is required, and demonstrates exceptional character, positivity, and kindness.”
