NATIONAL RENAISSANCE STUDENT OF THE MONTH: November – Ismael Kone

This month’s National Renaissance Student of the Month is Ismael Kone from Harrison High School in New Jersey. Nominator Nick Landy writes:

Ismael is a stand out athlete who is our varsity goal keeper for the Boys Soccer Team. Has his own YouTube channel, and on the first day of school, unknowing about the importance of Staffulty/ student relationships as a focal point for Jostens Renaissance, he created a video where he spoke about how important it is to get to know his teachers. He was also nominated by Staffulty to run for Homecoming King and his peers voted him as the 2023 Homecoming King.

How long have you been involved with Renaissance?

First year.

What’s a favorite Renaissance moment for you?

Senior Sunrise.

How has Renaissance impacted your school’s culture?

Renaissance has gradually made our community better.

How has Renaissance affected you personally?

I understand the importance of positive relationships with Staffulty and peers.

What advice would you give to someone just starting with Renaissance?

It works, but be patient.
