NATIONAL RENAISSANCE STAFFULTY OF THE MONTH: DECEMBER – MANDELE DAVIS

This month’s National Renaissance Staffulty of the Month is Mandelé Davis from Eisenhower High School in Houston, TX. Nominator Mike Sosa wrote that even in her second year as principal at the school, she is changing the culture of the school and earning the respect and admiration of both staffulty and students.

How long have you been involved with Renaissance?

Less than one year.

What’s a favorite Renaissance moment for you?

I cannot yet describe my favorite Renaissance moment. There have been moments as we observe the journey that have helped me to draw near to the mission of Renaissance.

How has Renaissance impacted your school’s culture?

As we are learning more about Renaissance, I am inspired at how the mission of Renaissance speaks to the heart and the passion of schools and students. There is a connection that supports the work that we aim to do – to bridge the connection between school and our community.

How has Renaissance affected you personally?

The mission of Renaissance inspires me to be a better leader for my campus. I absolutely love my campus and want the absolute best for Eisenhower. Renaissance seems to be a partner in the work.

What advice would you give to someone just starting with Renaissance?

I am just starting this work and very much appreciate the support and partnership in this work.

Ms. Davis will receive a shirt and a lapel pin to recognize her achievement.
