TEST CARE PACKAGES

Students can sell “Test Care Packages” during lunch to any student that wants to give a little motivation to a friend during busy testing times of the year, and it is a great fundraiser for your Renaissance program!

School type: High School and middle school

Activity goal: Motivate students to do well on a state test

Prep Time: 2-5 hours, depending on student body size

People required: Coordinator to supervise and organize sales

Space required: Assembly area with a table

Timing: Week before or during testing

Materials: Gift bags, candy, coupons, anything to help students during this time.

Cost: $2-5 per bag

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Gather a group of students to organize and sell care packages
  2. Pick & purchase items to go inside care packages – pencils, tissues, chocolates, mints, energy bars, inspirational messages, etc
  3. Stuff care packages
  4. Reserve a table in the lunch room a few days before testing
  5. Decide how much to charge for each bag – enough to cover costs and generate a profit for your fundraising goal
  6. Get a cash box with change
  7. Sell them during lunch! Make posters or invite students to purchase them
  8. Have students help sort the bags by homeroom and deliver the next day

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Ask your PTO to sponsor some care packages for a class that meets some kind of goal, or invite parents to purchase for their kids!
