Each region is led by a champion, a volunteer educator who has seen the power of Renaissance in their school. Educators in each region share ideas and successes with one another through Facebook Groups and a monthly email newsletter. 

DeWayne Patterson is the Activities Director at Bixby High School in Bixby, OK. He holds degrees from Oklahoma State University and Northeastern State University. In 2023, DeWayne was presented the Warren E. Shull Advisor of the Year Award by the Oklahoma Association of Student Councils.
