MEET YOUR RENAISSANCE CHAMPION

Renaissance Champions lead their region with a philosophy fueled by passion, positivity, and the belief that culture and climate change everything. In addition to supporting their Renaissance Ambassadors and other educators in their region, they spark joy, recognize greatness, and create environments where teachers love their jobs and students thrive in school.

ELIZABETH DALZELL

Colorado Springs, Colorado

Elizabeth Dalzell is the principal of Horizon Middle School in Colorado Springs, CO. She began her career teaching middle and high school science while also coaching volleyball and basketball. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to working in Title I schools, driven by a passion for engaging and supporting at-risk students.

In addition to her role as principal, Liz serves as an instructor for the International Institute of Restorative Practices, providing training and leading professional development for schools and districts across the United States. She has been recognized as 2022 Jostens Renaissance Educator of the Year and was inducted into the Jostens Renaissance Hall of Fame. Liz is honored to serve as the Champion for the Four Corners Renaissance Region and is committed to fostering vibrant, supportive school communities where students and staff can thrive.

MEET YOUR RENAISSANCE AMBASSADORS

Renaissance ambassadors build a vibrant local network of educators who believe culture and climate support school success. As volunteers, Ambassadors form and maintain a sense community in their local area.

ERIN SCHREURS

Kingman, Arizona

Erin Schreurs holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education and a Master of Education in World Language Instruction, both from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She has been a dedicated high school Spanish teacher since 2008 and currently teaches at Kingman Academy High School in Arizona. In addition to her teaching role, Erin has served as the Jostens Renaissance Advisor at KAHS since 2018, helping to lead the school to earn the Jostens Renaissance Platinum School of Distinction award for five consecutive years.

Erin was recognized as the Jostens Renaissance Staffulty of the Month in December 2023, a reflection of her ongoing commitment to building a positive school culture. Known for her enthusiastic, outgoing, and creative personality, she is deeply engaged in her school community and always eager to help others grow. Outside the classroom, Erin enjoys singing, crafting, and reading.

Judy Perrine

Kingman, Arizona

Judy Perrine is a seventh grade social studies teacher at Kingman Academy Middle School in Arizona. In addition to teaching, Judy specializes in student leadership and school culture and has played an active role in building a positive campus community through Renaissance leadership activities and student recognition programs. She is passionate about encouraging students to believe in themselves, celebrate one another, and develop strong character both inside and outside the classroom. Her school has recognized her as Teacher of the Year twice and was also honored by Jostens Renaissance as Staffulty of the Month for her dedication to students, staff, and creating a positive school culture. In her spare time, Judy enjoys spending time with her grandbabies, reading, and taking RV trips visiting National Parks across the United States. She loves making memories with family, discovering new places, and embracing new adventures along the way. She is an educator at heart, and she always finds inspiration and ways to share learning with herself and her students.

Gracee Liggett

GRACEE LIGGETT

Colorado Springs, Colorado

Gracee Liggett is a 5th grade teacher at Evans Elementary in Colorado, and is celebrating her 15th year in education. She holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is currently finishing her master’s in Educational Leadership. Gracee has called Evans home for the past five years, where she was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2023. She was recently selected to join Colorado’s Commissioner of Education Teachers Cabinet, where she will contribute to statewide conversations on education policy and practice. Since 2021, she has been sharing her passion for Renaissance, helping build a school culture where students feel they belong and every person knows they matter. She is thrilled to step into her new role as a Renaissance Ambassador and excited to bring fresh ideas to her school and the broader community. Outside the classroom, Gracee loves spending time with her three grandchildren, playing board and card games with family and traveling whenever she gets the chance.

Cessna Kleinmoedig

Colorado Springs, Colorado

Cessna Kleinmoedig serves as the Athletics Secretary, Directed Study Center Facilitator, and Events & Social Media Coordinator at Skyview Middle School in Colorado Springs. She is also a member of the Pursuit Leadership Team and serves as Co-Advisor for Student Council. Cessna takes the most pride in Skyview’s student-led rallies and loves seeing the positive impact they have on school culture. Watching student behavior improve across campus has been one of the most rewarding parts of her work. Seeing fewer and fewer behavior incidents needing to be entered into the system is a success in itself and a reflection of the culture shift happening at Skyview. Outside of school, Cessna can often be found leading the Aerials Booster Club and fundraising to support her 15-year old daughter’s gymnastics and watching her daughter compete. She also enjoys going on adventures and field trips with her 7-year-old son. In quieter moments, she loves camping with her family or curling up on the couch with her husband with a good book in her hand while a movie plays on the TV.

Dr. Phillip Campbell & Cori Kassib

Highlands Ranch, Colorado

PC and Cori and teaming up to make the Four Corners region even stronger! PC is Jostens Education Ambassador and travels the country, spreading the idea that all students and teachers want to be seen, heard and loved. Cori Kassib is the Assistant Principal at Ranch View Middle School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, where she is passionate about creating a school culture built on relationships, recognition, and belonging. With 20 years in education, including the last eight in school administration, she helps students and staff thrive by putting people first

Alexa Aguilera

Alexa Aguilera

Morenci, Arizona

Alexa Aguilera is a Behavioral Specialist at Morenci High School who helps the mental health of students and Staffulty by creating a positive learning environment and school culture. Alexa has a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Graduate Certificate in Counseling with a focus in school-based services. She specializes in mental health strategies and social emotional learning. She also teaches math and has been Teacher of the Year for her school and county. Her and her team’s work implementing the Renaissance Framework in her school has had a profound impact on student well-being and Staffulty retention. In her spare time, Alexa enjoys painting, baking, and traveling with her family.
