Who said that the trash bins need to look like it? Turn them into art at your school! This project will also help increase awareness around garbage can locations and lower the amount of litter around campus.

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Work with your administration, art teacher and custodians to get their support.
- When the garbage cans are not in use, gather and clean them so they are ready to paint.
- Recruit art students or student leaders to design and paint the bins/cans.
- Once dry, place around school.
ADDITIONAL IDEAS & OPPORTUNITIES:
- If many students are interested in painting the bins, have a design contest with a small prize.
