MEET YOUR CHAMPION

Renaissance Champions lead their region with a philosophy fueled by passion, positivity, and the belief that culture and climate change everything. In addition to supporting their Renaissance Ambassadors and other educators in their region, they spark joy, recognize greatness, and create environments where teachers love their jobs and students thrive in school.

Mark Brown currently serves as Principal at Newberg High School in Newberg, Oregon. Prior to being an administrator, Mark spent several years as the Activities Director, and was also a Health teacher and Basketball coach at Newberg. Mark believes in the power of the Renaissance framework because of how it empowers and equips schools to highlight and celebrate individuals on their campus who are living life as the best version of themselves! Mark is thankful for the Renaissance community and the life-long friendships he has formed because of the connections he has made through Renaissance. Mark is passionate about serving students, Staffulty, and the greater school community at Newberg and is ALL IN on bringing Renaissance to life on his campus, while also doing everything he can to encourage and support other schools along their Renaissance journey.
