Room Service for Teachers

Want Staffulty at your school to feel appreciated? Have Staffulty members complete Room Service Cards, then organize students to knock on their classroom doors to deliver treats and drinks in a “room service” style.

School type: Middle School, High School

Activity goal: Staffulty (staff + faculty) appreciation

Prep time: 90 – 120 minutes

People required: 1 – 2 adults and 2 – 4 students

Space requirements: Large room for rolling cart

Timing: Anytime within the school year

Materials: Paper, Room Service Card template, rubber bands, cart, items to be delivered

Cost: Under $50

Instructions for Room Service at School:

  1. Design your own Room Service Cards, download and print this editable room service card template, or use a Google Form to collect orders. If you are making your own, include spaces for name and room number, several beverage and treat choices, and check boxes.
  2. Print, hole-punch cards, and place rubber bands on door knobs on Monday. Pick them up Wednesday afternoon.
  3. Tally the items needed.
  4. Purchase items.
  5. Prepare beverages.
  6. Divide up room service orders by school hallway – have a student take charge of each hallway to ensure delivery!
  7. Deliver room service treats to Staffulty during designated class period/block.
  8. Clean up and place leftover items in the teachers’ workroom or other common space.

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Have a decorated Room Service Cart
  • Make it a reward for students to be involved in completing the deliveries!
