Releasing throughout the 2025-2026 school year, the Better Than Good series is hosted by Keith Hawkins – an inspirational speaker who grew up in a struggling family from a tough part of Los Angeles. Featuring various student perspectives, these videos will focus on the greatness bottled up inside us and the opportunities that life offers.

MEET YOUR HOST
Keith Hawkins exudes empowering energy. He believes that with a positive mindset, amazing things can (and will) happen. Keith grew up in a tough part of Los Angeles where he faced tremendous challenges as a youth: With a struggling single parent mom, an abusive step father, a poor education, and a violent environment he was not expected to make it to adulthood. Keith took these challenges of life and turned them into opportunity not to just make it, but to serve people and bring them along with him. Keith Hawkins is now an international speaker who presents and conducts programs to over 400,000 students, parents, educators, leaders and businesses annually.

Give What You Need
The concept of giving what you need is a way for people to think about how they treat people. We all want to be treated with common courtesy and an assumption that we are essentially good, but we can’t expect others to treat us that way if we don’t treat them as we want to be treated. Sometimes that even means being the first person to show maturity.
