For years, photographer Steve Rosenfield thought that living in a single-parent home and visiting his father in jail never had an impact on him. As he grew older, however, Steve became numb. Rather than share his insecurities, he internalized his feelings, fearing judgement from those around him. It wasn’t until Steve started opening up to himself that he was able to share his insecurities with others, which caused others to share their insecurities with him.
